With the Knights and Yo-Yo Ma
This 58 channel 192kHz recording was made at BRIC Arts in Brooklyn, a perfect live music and theater venue which was never used for a commercial recording recording - they were unfamiliar with the unique needs. We spent multiple days at BRIC working with the staff to ensure the acoustic would meet the demanding standards for commercial work, then brought all microphones, recorders, and headphone cue systems for sessions.
Archival and Broadcast for Bridgehampton
Here at Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, we hung a simple custom array of microphones for the season, and provided archival recording, and editing and mixing for broadcast on Peformance Today.
Tour de Force Drum Tracking with Ted Hearne
For three days at Avatar Studios, Midtown Manhattan, we recorded the rhythm and instrumental tracks for Ted Hearne's "The Source". Pictured here, our microphone setup for the spectacularly tight drum sound.
Recording with Trio Celeste in Aliso Viejo, CA
This recording took special advantage of one of the premiere recording venues in the world. We are overjoyed to have been given our run of such a limousine of an acoustic, Soka University Performing Arts Center. And we were graced and stunned by the otherworldly performance of one of today's foremost piano trios, Trio Celeste.
